This dish captures everything we love about modern Korean cuisine: humble ingredients elevated with depth, balance, and a touch of luxury. Inspired by the series, this recipe brings the royal-level umami straight to your table.

STEPS:
- 
Purge and Shock the Clams & Mussels
 
- 
Boil Water with salt; once boiling add the clams and mussels for 3-5 minutes or until open. Then shock it with cold water. Set aside.
 
- 
Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining. Drain and set aside.
 
Make the Doenjang Sauce:
- 
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
 - 
Stir in Doenjang paste and water to loosen it.
 - 
Add the cooked clams and mussels to the pan.
 - 
Stir in chili crisp, sugar, sake, and reserved pasta water
 - 
Bring everything to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
 - 
Finish the sauce by adding cooking cream, then stir to combine. Season with salt.
 - 
Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat.
 - 
Plate pasta and garnish with extra shellfish, and extra doenjang sauce. Add Pesto on top of the pasta then sprinkle over the crushed salted cashew nuts.
