Classic Pomodoro Spaghetti

Dolce Vita Whole Peeled Tomatoes 400g

Mazza Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Dolce Vita Spaghetti 5 Pasta

1

cup

Italiana Formaggi Grated Parmesan Cheese (as needed)

tbsp

Salt (for seasoning)

4

cloves

Garlic

 

pinch

Red Pepper Flakes

3

sprigs

Basil (for seasoning)

3

leaves

Basil (for serving)

 

Procedure:

  1. Cook your spaghetti for about 7 mins till al dente. Set aside.
  2. Drain the liquid from the tomatoes & remove the seeds. Smash 4 cloves of garlic.
  3. On a saucepan over medium heat, heat 3 tbsp. of extra-virgin olive oil & add garlic. Cook until the garlic is golden.
  4. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes & tomatoes. Stir until they break down & are darkened. Add tomato liquid & stir. Season with salt & basil sprigs.
  5. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce & stir.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese as needed & serve.
