WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

FOR CHERRY TOMATOES:

Chicken or Vegetable Stock

Fresh Basil Leaves, chiffonade

FOR THE BURRATA 

INGREDIENTS QTY UOM
Delizie Vesuviane Frozen Burrata 1 pcs
Flour 1/3 cup
Egg 1 pc
Bread Crumbs 1/2 cup
For deep frying: Oil

 

STEPS:

For the cherry tomatoes:

  1. In medium high heat sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  2. Add in tomato paste and thyme leaves. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the cherry tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour in the stock and simmer for 5-10 minutes or until the cherry tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add fresh basil leaves.

For the Burrata:

  1. Heat oil for deep frying.
  2. Drain the burrata and pat dry
  3. Dredge in flour until burrata is completely covered.
  4. Dip in egg wash
  5. Bread with Japanese Bread Crumbs and deep fry until golden brown. Drain excess oil

To serve:

  1. Transfer the cherry tomatoes in a platter and top it with the deep fried burrata.
  2. Drizzle some olive oil and season with pepper
  3. Serve warn with crostini or toasted baguette slices.
