Shakshuka is an easy and healthy recipe that is made of a flavorful and hearty combination of poached eggs, tomatoes, peppers, onions, and a variety of spices.

Dolce Vita Diced Tomatoes 1 can
Extra Virgin Olive Oil 3 tbsp
Onions (chopped) 1/2 cup
Bell Pepper (Diced) 1/4 cup
Garlic (chopped) 1 tbsp
Smoked Paprika 1/2 tsp
Cayenne Powder 1/4 tsp
Cumin 1/2 tsp
Eggs 3 pcs
Parsley 1 tbsp
CIlantro 1 tbsp
Salt & pepper


  1. In a pan over medium heat, saute onions, bell peppers and garlic in olive oil.
  2. Cook until onions are translucent then add the spices.
  3. Add the tomatoes, season with salt, pepper, and sugar.
  4. Simmer until sauce is slightly reduced and thickened.
  5. Place egg on top, cover pan with lid and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the eggwhites are set and yolks are still runny.
  6. Turn off heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley and cilantro.
  7. Serve with toast. Enjoy!
