Truffle Steak & Truffle Mashed Potatoes

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Ingredients QTY UOM
Ribeye Steak 500g 1 piece
As much needed: Olive oil
Rosemary
Thyme
Garlic
Butter 1 cup
Mazza Truffle Salsa 1 cup

 

For the mashed potatoes:

Ingredients QTY UOM
Potato 300 g
Water
Salt
Milk 1/2 cup
Butter 2 tbsp
Salt & pepper
Nutmeg 1 pinch

 

STEPS:

  1. For the butter: mix softened butter and truffle salsa until well combined.

  2. Place on a pre-cut cling film, roll and shape into a log. Secure ends and freeze for 1 hour.

  3. For the steak: dry steak using a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. In a heavy cast iron pan, Sear steak in olive oil until browned.

  5. Add butter, garlic and herbs. Baste steak until desired doneness is achieved.

  6. For the mashed potato: Boil potatoes in salted water fork tender.

  7. Drain and mash.

  8. In a pan over low heat, mix butter, milk and cream.
